This course takes learners through some of the significant sociological perspectives of the 20th century including functionalism, conflict theory, critical theory, micro sociology and micro-macro integration perspectives. Learners will come across the works of Antonio Gramsci, Talcott Parsons, R.K. Merton, Lewis Coser, Habermas, Althusser, Jeffrey Alexander, the Chicago School and the Frankfurt School.
