Economics and international relations is an interdisciplinary course explaining the interconnection of economics and international relations. Both the disciplines are of contemporary relevance and is interconnected. Exploring international political theories, the course analyses how international economic relations in trade, finance and economic development have evolved over time. Discussing the workings of the international order from the point of view of political economy, the course throws light on regional trade agreements, trade policies. exchange rate arrangements, international capital flows and currency crises. Delving into India's foreign policy, the course probes on the country's interface with its neighbours, policy towards the South Asian countries and the county's approach towards the major global issues.
