Linear algebra is the branch of Mathematics concerning linear equations. It is central to almost all areas of Mathematics. Until the 19th century, Linear algebra was introduced through systems of linear equations and Matrices.. In modern Mathematics, the presentation through vector spaces is generally preferred.
In this course we will recall Vector spaces, subspaces, basis, dimension, linear transformations, illustrate a matrix representation for the linear transformation, use characteristic polynomials to compute eigenvalues and eigen vectors, use eigenspaces of matrices, when possible, to diagonalize a matrix ,perform diagonalization of matrices and deal with direct sum decompositions.
